What is Airport Access Planner?
Airport Access Planner ("the Service") provides information, linked to specific flight numbers, about the schedules of flights arriving at or departing from Tokyo Narita Airport. It also provides information on travel routes, travel times, and actual timetables (or standard required times) between Tokyo Narita Airport terminal stations and train stations or bus pickup/set-down points that passengers indicate they will be traveling from or to.

The information does not include details regarding flying times and air fares.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Before using the Service, you are required to carefully read, understand and abide by the guidance provided on the following pages. Also, please take note that you are bound by the terms and conditions set forth herein and those separately provided as "Terms and Conditions." IN ANY EVENT, THE SERVICE IS USED ONLY AT YOUR OWN RISK AND NO LIABILITY IS ACCEPTED FOR ANY ACCIDENTS, LOSSES OR DAMAGES, EITHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY INCIDENTAL CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES IN RELATION TO OR AS A RESULT OF YOUR USING THE SERVICE. The Japanese law should govern and be applied to the Service and any acts under the Service.

About use of the Service
Explanatory notes concerning information relating to the flights arriving at, or departing from, Tokyo Narita Airport
  1. Flights Covered
This Service covers all scheduled and non-scheduled passenger flights arriving at or departing from Tokyo Narita Airport. Non-scheduled passenger flights may not be shown before the actual day of the flight.
  2. 2. Flight arrival and departure times, and terminals
Information relating to flights is provided by each airline, the Airport Intelligence & Communication Service Co., Ltd., and the Official Airlines Guide (OAG). Information provided on times of arrivals and departures of flights at Narita Airport provided in the Service is based on the OAG Flight Schedule, and on the day of the actual flight, Flight Information.
The OAG Flight Schedule is strictly a "schedule" and does not reflect possible delays due to weather conditions, accidents, etc. Non-scheduled flights may not be shown. Please be aware also that destinations and routes may change from those advertised due to data available on the actual day of the flight.
Flight Information offers information on the status of flights operating on that particular day, updated every ten minutes. Any changes in scheduled arrivals and departures are displayed.
Latest information on weather conditions, accidents, etc., is displayed as needed. However, such information is liable to be inadequate, so you are advised, particularly in the case of inclement weather conditions, to contact a representative of your airline, and make your decisions in accordance with the guidance you receive.
Information about the appropriate terminal (for trips to Narita Airport) and train station (for trips from Narita Airport) will be automatically provided based on the flight specified.

About airport staying time
"About airport staying time" refers, in the case of departures, to the time taken by passengers to detrain from the nearest station to Narita Airport and to board their flight, and in the case of arrivals, to deplane and get to the nearest station to Narita Airport. In this service, we consider the standard (minimum) time spent in the airport in the case of departure to be 2 hours, and in the case of arrival to be 1 hour. However, at certain times of year the airport is liable to be extremely crowded, and the various procedures (ticketing, baggage & customs inspection, etc.) will take considerable time.
Please be sure to leave ample leeway for time spent in airport.
For those who wish to travel to Narita Airport to meet an incoming flight, the information we provide will be a route designed to meet the time of the flight number that you input. However, please remember that customs and immigration procedures can take considerable time.

Explanations concerning transfer guide
  1. Train and Bus Lines Covered
The Service covers all JR lines, private railway lines, and subway lines in Japan: roughly 9,000 stations and 500 lines in all. However, please note that certain sections of some lines are not covered.
Information about trams and streetcars is not yet available. As regards domestic flights, the information here covers flights between the main airports within Japan, with the exception of flights to and from small islands.

  2. Programs and Data/Information
The Service uses information and technology provided by Ekitan & Co., Ltd. Though we make every effort to provide necessary and useful information, we do not guarantee complete and up-to-the-minute information on which routes may be the speediest, most reasonable and shortest. Moreover, the information does not take into consideration certain factors such as variations in connection times, late departures by previous trains awaiting the arrivals of other trains, the effects of special trains provided for events, accidents, weather conditions, and rail service disruptions due to traffic conditions. Please consider these factors when using the Service as a guide. ANY WARRANTY IS HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED REGARDING THE PROGRAM, DATA AND INFORMATION PROVIDED UNDER THE SERVICE FOR ANYTHING, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, RELIABILITY, ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS THEREOF.
The Service may provide information about some limited express trains for which supplementary charges are necessary for routes of more than 100 km, even for those who select to avoid such expenses. Additional fares, such as usage charges, must be paid for limited expresses (liners) and sleeping cars.

  3. Buses
Bus routes may be included in the results of searches made through the Service. Please note that departure and arrival schedules of buses may change as a result of traffic conditions and departure and arrival schedules of flights.
Also, those intending to travel by bus should take particular care, since road conditions can often cause significant delays in the time required.

  4. Fares
All fares are calculated on the basis of the fare tables issued by the relevant operating companies and standard airfares. Additional factors such as special discounts and discounts when routes are served by more than one operator are not yet reflected but are currently being readied for inclusion. Please be aware that the information provided is under review and may not be complete.
At present the Service does not provide information on fares for which season tickets or commuter passes are used. Please also note that extra charges may exist, such as for seat reservations on limited expresses and liners, and for sleeping berths and limited express standing tickets on trains with sleeping cars. The JR limited express fares shown are fares for non-reserved seats, except for cases in which an entire train has only reserved seats. Airfares do not take into account discounts for prepurchasing, early booking, etc.

  5. Times for Transfers and Connections
For the time necessary to transfer between platforms and stations, there is a choice between "Regular" and "Long (1.4 x the regular time)".
"Regular" is calculated on the approximate time for a man in his thirties would take, walking at a normal pace. When transfer involves taking steps, escalator or elevator, the time shown assumes use of steps. For ascending or descending steps (except for particularly long ones), the time taken is assumed to be roughly thirty seconds. A minimum of one minute is allowed for making connections. A safety margin of one minute will also apply to situations where the train that passengers aim to connect with is the last train of the day and can be assumed to be waiting at the station, and situations where transfers look likely to take less than one minute.
"Long (1.4 x the regular time)" allows passengers who may, for example, be carrying heavy or large pieces of luggage more (1.4 times as much) time than "Regular."
For embarkation or disembarkation at airports for domestic flights it is assumed in all cases that the time required for changing flights is a uniform thirty minutes.

  6. Dates of Schedule Changes and Date of Service Information
When a schedule is changed, the date on which the change will be processed by our computer is indicated in the "Timetable Changes Record." The timetable and connection information users receive prior to such a change when searching for a date on or after the date of the schedule change will still be based on the old schedule.

  7. Reference and Notes for Arrival/Departure Times and Charges
Please be advised of the following reference and notes for arrival/departure times and charges .
